WE ARE PROUD TO INTRODUCE OUR FULL KITS FOR THE MIATA DRIVETRAIN.  The 1.6 and 1.8 litre Mazda Miata is the ideal drivetrain for a "Locost". Our kit is designed for any miata from 1990-1999 without modification.

Miatas are quite plentiful at reasonable cost. A donor with either a rusty body or a salvage wreck will work fine for your build. It is easy to work with  and you have a driveline from a true sportscar rather than trying to piece together economy car parts or mini truck parts. Performance parts are also readily available to build a SUPER performer.

Later year Miatas will also work with our frame kit with minor modification, and we even have a few customers working on combination Miata/ Honda S2000 drivelines.

Our roots in this business are British Sportscar restorations and maintence. We wanted our offering to be very traditional, a modern classic modeled after the 1964 Lotus.Some other kits available have become only "sevenesque", they have grown in proportion and use too much fiberglass. They are nice cars but not REPLICAS.

We offer a Modern classic with the traditional sexy appeal, and couple it with a true sportscar drivetrain that performs and is near bullet proof.

We often get the questions as to whether someone will fit into the car. I am 5'8" and 190 lbs. I am very comfortable. Others in my shop are 6'0" and 6'3" both of them are slender. They fit. People at 280 lbs and 6' will not be comfortable in our car or in most of the sevenesque offerings even if it is a few inches wider.

KIT CONTENTS

Fully welded frame cosmetically correct to the original, structurally updated to accept todays high horsepower engines and specifically the Mazda Miata driveline.

Front and rear wishbones, fully adjustable incorporating Aurora heim joints

Exterior and interior aluminum body panels, precut and prefolded ready to be fastened

Dash(scuttle) kit . Removable steel frame with prebent aluminum scuttle, firewall and blank dashboard

Windshield- Laminated safety glass (AS 1) and a stainless steel frame

Windshield pillars cosmetically correct

Hood Louvred or plain

Fiberglass nosecone, fiberglass front fenders, combination aluminum/fiberglass rear fenders

DOT approved Complete Lighting package

Hardware package

Our kits come with a Manufacturers statement of origin, making the registration process much easier

KIT PRICING&

MIATA DONOR INFORMATION

Ideal donors are 1990-99 1.6 or 1.8l Miatas. Rusty or salvage vehicles are good choice. We have seen drivetrains with as much as 150k miles that are in excellent shape and will give lots of service without a rebuild. You will not use the body and it will act as a source of revenue selling pieces on ebay. We recommend that you do not sell it off too soon as the car is an excellent templete to see how things work.

You are going to use the Engine and all attached parts, the transmission, driveshaft, differential, axles, all of the pieces associated with the brakes, hubs, wheels, hydrolics including hard lines and flex lines, cables. You will use the emergency brake lever and cables and hardware.

The entire wiring harness is used as well as the computer, guage cluster, lights and switches, steering column and key

The gas tank sender and fuel pump are used. Seats can be modified to fit
