Lotus 7 type Kit (LOCOST)

We have been serving the British sportscar hobbyist for many years. We built our first Locost book frame and became excited about the possibilities. It's a great way to either put new life into an older sportscar, or with a modern drivetrain, build a cheap sports car with world class performance. These cars have been very popular in the UK for over 20 years and their time has come for us in the USA.

We offer frames and parts for builders that are following the traditional approach, building from "the book" (Ron Champion's How to build a sportscar for 250 pounds, and Keith Tanner's How to build a cheap sportscar). Getting started with a good frame and suspension is the key to a successful build. The builder's personality and taste can be incorporated into a car built for very little money.

See our frames and other parts if you're following this approach.

We have also become the exclusive distributor for Robin Hood Sportscars in the USA. Robin Hood is one of the oldest producers of Locosts and has sold more than any other company. We spent many months working with Robin Hood to bring in products specifically designed for our market.

Upfront costs for a kit from Robin Hood are a bit higher but the kit has many advantages because it's very complete. They even include a complete video build manual. The results are predictable and the completed car has a factory built look.

See two different kits we are offering: Lightweight and Stainless.

So, if your are into "the process" of buiding your own Locost, consider one of our frame kits. If you just want to "get it done and drive," the Lightweight and Stainless are for you!
